Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith 1supply 2moral aexcellence, and in your moral excellence, 3knowledge,
6
and in your knowledge, 4self-control, and in your self-control, 5perseverance, and in your perseverance, 6godliness,
7
and in your godliness, 7brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love.
8
For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor 8unfruitful in the true 9knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For he who lacks these qualities is 10blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his 11purification from his former sins.

Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His 12calling and 13choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never 14stumble ;
11
for in this way the entrance into 15the eternal kingdom of our 16Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be 17abundantly 18supplied to you.

Therefore, 19I will always be ready to remind you of these things, even though you already know them, and have been established in 20the truth which is present with you.

I consider it 21right, as long as I am in 22this earthly dwelling, to 23stir you up by way of reminder,
14
knowing that 24the laying aside of my earthly dwelling is imminent, 25as also our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.
15
And I will also be diligent that at any time after my 26departure you will be able to call these things to mind.
