5Now for thisvery reason also, applyingalldiligence, in your faith1supply2moralaexcellence, and in your moralexcellence, 3knowledge,
and in your knowledge, 4self-control, and in your self-control, 5perseverance, and in your perseverance, 6godliness,
and in your godliness, 7brotherlykindness, and in your brotherlykindness, love.
For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neitheruselessnor8unfruitful in the true9knowledge of our LordJesusChrist.
For he wholacksthese qualities is 10blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his 11purification from his formersins.
10Therefore, brethren, be all the morediligent to makecertain about His 12calling and 13choosing you; for as long as you practicethesethings, you will never14stumble ;
for in thisway the entrance into 15the eternalkingdom of our 16Lord and SaviorJesusChrist will be 17abundantly18supplied to you.
12Therefore, 19I will always be ready to remind you of thesethings, eventhough you already know them, and have been established in 20the truth which is present with you.
I consider it 21right, as long as I am in 22this earthly dwelling, to 23stir you up by way of reminder,
14knowing that 24the layingaside of my earthly dwelling is imminent, 25as also our LordJesusChrist has madeclear to me.
And I will also be diligent that at anytimeafter my 26departure you will be able to callthesethings to mind.
