For truly* in thiscity there were gatheredtogetheragainst Your holy1servantJesus, whom You anointed, both2Herod and 3PontiusPilate, along with 4the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel,

to dowhatever Your hand and 5Your purposepredestined to occur.

"And now, Lord, takenote of their threats, and grant that Your bond-servants may 6speak Your word with all7confidence,

while You extend Your hand to heal, and 8signs and wonderstakeplacethrough the name of Your holy9servantJesus."

And when they had prayed, the 10placewhere* they had gatheredtogether was shaken, and they were all11filled with the HolySpirit and began to 12speak the word of God with 13boldness.

32 And the congregation of those who believed were of oneheart and soul; and not one of them claimed that anythingbelonging to him was his own, but 14allthings were commonproperty to them.
