"4He is the 5STONE WHICH WAS 6REJECTED by you, THE BUILDERS, but WHICH BECAME THE CHIEFCORNER stone.

"And there is salvation in 7no*oneelse; for there is noothernameunderheaven that has been givenamongmen by which we must be saved."
Threat and Release
13Now as they observed the 8confidence of 9Peter and John and understood that they were uneducated and untrainedmen, they were amazed, and 10began to recognize them as having been with Jesus.

And seeing the man who had been healedstanding with them, they hadnothing to say in reply.

But when they had ordered them to leave the 11Council, they began to confer with oneanother,

saying, "12What shall we do with thesemen? For the fact that a 13noteworthymiracle has takenplacethrough them is apparent to all who live in Jerusalem, and we cannot*deny it.

"But so that it will not spreadanyfurther*among the people, let us warn them to speaknolonger to anyman14in thisname."

And when they had summoned them, they 15commanded them not to speakorteach at all in the name of Jesus.

But 16Peter and Johnanswered and said to them, "17Whether it is right in the sight of God to giveheed to you ratherthan to God, you be the judge;
