The Incomparable Christ

13 aFor He rescued us from the b1domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of c2His beloved Son, 14 3in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. 15 dHe is the 4image of the 5invisible God, the 6firstborn of all creation. 16 For e7by Him all things were created, 8both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether 9thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities -10all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17 He f11is before all things, and in Him all things ghold together. 18 He is also 12head of 13the body, the church; and He is 14the beginning, 15the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. 19 For hit was 16the Father's good pleasure for all 17the ifullness to dwell in Him, 20 and through Him to 18reconcile all things to Himself, having made 19peace through 20the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, 21whether things on earth or things in jheaven. 21 And although you were 22formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, 22 yet He has now 23reconciled you in His fleshly 24body through death, in order to 25present you before Him 26holy and blameless and beyond reproach - 23 if indeed you continue in kthe faith firmly 27established and steadfast, and not moved away from the 28hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed 29in all creation under heaven, 30and of which I, Paul, lwas made a m31minister. 24 32Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh 33I ndo my share on behalf of 34His body, which is the church, in filling up what is lacking oin Christ's afflictions. 25 35Of this church I pwas made a minister according to the 36stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit, so that I might qfully carry out the preaching of the word of God, 26 that is, 37the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His rsaints, 27 to whom 38God willed to make known what is 39the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is 40Christ in you, the 41hope of glory. 28 We proclaim Him, 42admonishing every man and teaching every man swith all 43wisdom, so that we may 44present every man t45complete in Christ. 29 For this purpose also I 46labor, 47striving 48according to His upower, which vmightily works within me.
