He againfixes a certainday, "Today," sayingathroughDavidaftersolong a timejust1as has been saidbefore, "2TODAYIF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS."
For 3ifbJoshua had given them rest, He would not have spoken of anotherdayafter that.
9So there remains a Sabbathrest for the people of God.
For the one who has entered His rest has himselfalso4rested from his works, as 5God did from His.
11Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that noone will fall, through following the same6example of 7disobedience.
For 8the word of God is 9living and 10active and sharperthananytwo-edged11sword, and piercing as far as the division of 12soul and 13spirit, of bothjoints and marrow, and 14able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
And 15there is nocreaturehidden from His sight, but allthings are 16open and laidbare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.
14Therefore, since we have a great17highpriestwho has 18passedthrough the heavens, Jesus19the Son of God, let us holdfast our 20confession.
For we do not have21a highpriestwhocannotsympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been 22tempted in allthings as we are, yet 23withoutsin.
16Therefore let us 24drawnear with 25confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receivemercy and findgrace to help in time of need.
