and concerning1righteousness, because2I go to the Father and you nolongersee Me;

3and concerningjudgment, because the ruler of thisworld has been judged.

"I havemanymorethings to say to you, but you cannot*bear them now.

"But when He, 4the Spirit of truth, comes, He will 5guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His owninitiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.

"He will 6glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you.

"7Allthings that the Fatherhas are Mine; therefore* I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.
Jesus' Death and Resurrection Foretold
16"8A littlewhile, and 9you will nolongersee Me; and again a littlewhile, and 10you will see Me."

Some of His disciplesthensaid to oneanother, "What is thisthing He is telling us, '11A littlewhile, and you will not see Me; and again a littlewhile, and you will see Me'; and, 'because12I go to the Father '?"

So they were saying, "What is this that He says, 'A littlewhile '? We do not knowwhat He is talking about."

13Jesusknew that they wished to question Him, and He said to them, "Are you deliberatingtogether*aboutthis, that I said, 'A littlewhile, and you will not see Me, and again a littlewhile, and you will see Me'?

"Truly, truly, I say to you, that 14you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but 15your grief will be turned into joy.
