Some of His disciplesthensaid to oneanother, "What is thisthing He is telling us, '5A littlewhile, and you will not see Me; and again a littlewhile, and you will see Me'; and, 'because6I go to the Father '?"

So they were saying, "What is this that He says, 'A littlewhile '? We do not knowwhat He is talking about."

7Jesusknew that they wished to question Him, and He said to them, "Are you deliberatingtogether*aboutthis, that I said, 'A littlewhile, and you will not see Me, and again a littlewhile, and you will see Me'?

"Truly, truly, I say to you, that 8you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but 9your grief will be turned into joy.

"10Whenever a woman is in labor she haspain, because her hour has come; but when she givesbirth to the child, she nolongerremembers the anguishbecause of the joy that a child has been born into the world.

"Therefore11you toohavegriefnow; but 12I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and noone will take your joyaway from you.
