And they began to 1implore Him to leave their region.

2As He was getting into the boat, the man who had been 3demon-possessed was imploring Him that he might accompany* Him.

And He did not let him, but He said to him, "4Gohome to your people and report to them whatgreatthings the Lord has done for you, and how He hadmercy on you."

And he wentaway and began to 5proclaim in 6DecapoliswhatgreatthingsJesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed.

217When Jesus had crossedoveragain in 8the boat to the otherside, a largecrowdgatheredaround Him; and so He stayed9by the seashore.

10One of 11the synagogueofficialsnamedJairuscame up, and on seeing Him, fell at His feet

and implored Him earnestly, saying, "My littledaughter is at the point of death; please come and 12lay Your hands on her, so that she will getwell and live."

And He wentoff with him; and a largecrowd was following Him and pressing in on Him.

A woman who had had a hemorrhage* for twelveyears,
26
and had enduredmuch at the hands of manyphysicians, and had spentall that she had and was not helped at all, but rather had grownworse -
27
after hearingaboutJesus, she came up in the crowdbehind Him and touched His cloak.
