211When Jesus had crossedoveragain in 2the boat to the otherside, a largecrowdgatheredaround Him; and so He stayed3by the seashore.

4One of 5the synagogueofficialsnamedJairuscame up, and on seeing Him, fell at His feet

and implored Him earnestly, saying, "My littledaughter is at the point of death; please come and 6lay Your hands on her, so that she will getwell and live."

And He wentoff with him; and a largecrowd was following Him and pressing in on Him.

A woman who had had a hemorrhage* for twelveyears,
26
and had enduredmuch at the hands of manyphysicians, and had spentall that she had and was not helped at all, but rather had grownworse -
27
after hearingaboutJesus, she came up in the crowdbehind Him and touched His cloak.
28
For she thought, "If I justtouch His garments, I will get well."
29
Immediately the flow of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her 7affliction.
30
ImmediatelyJesus, perceiving in Himself that 8the power proceeding from Him had goneforth, turnedaround in the crowd and said, "Whotouched My garments?"

And His disciplessaid to Him, "You see the crowdpressing in on You, and You say, 'Whotouched Me?' "
