And He said to her, "Daughter, 9your faith has gmade you well ; 10go in peace and be healed of your 11affliction."35
While He was stillspeaking, they came from the house of the 12synagogueofficial, saying, "Your daughter has died ; whytrouble the Teacheranymore ?"
But Jesus, overhearingwhat was being spoken, said to the 13synagogueofficial, "14Do not be afraid any longer, onlyhbelieve."37

They came to the house of the 16synagogueofficial ; and He saw a commotion, and people loudlyweeping and wailing.
And entering in, He said to them, "Whymake a commotion and weep ? The child has not died, but is asleep."40
They began laughing at Him. But putting them all out, He tookalong the child'sfather and mother and His own companions , and entered the room where the child was.
41Taking the child by the hand, He said to her, "Talithakum !" (whichtranslatedmeans, "Littlegirl, 17I say to you, get up!").
42Immediately the girlgot up and began to walk, for she was twelveyears old. And immediately they were completelyastounded.
And He 18gave them strictorders that noone should know about this, and He said that something should be given her to eat.
