And He commanded them all to sitdown by groups on the greengrass.

They satdown in groups of hundreds and of fifties.

And He took the fiveloaves and the twofish, and looking up towardheaven, He 1blessed the food and broke the loaves and He kept giving them to the disciples to setbefore them; and He divided up the twofish among them all.

and they picked up twelvefull2baskets of the brokenpieces, and also of the fish.

There were 3fivethousandmen who ate the loaves.
Jesus Walks on the Water
454Immediately Jesus made His disciplesget into 5the boat and goahead of Him to the otherside to 6Bethsaida, while He Himself was sending the crowdaway.

After 7bidding them farewell, He left8for the mountain to pray.

When it was evening, the boat was in the middle of the sea, and He was alone on the land.

Seeing them straining at the oars, for the wind was against them, at about the 9fourthwatch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea; and He intended to pass by them.

But when they saw Him walking on the sea, they supposed that it was a ghost, and cried out;
