"But when the kingcame in to lookover the dinnerguests, he saw1a manthere who was not dressed in weddingclothes,

and he said to him, '2Friend, how did you come in herewithout*weddingclothes?' And the man was speechless.

"Then the kingsaid to the servants, 'Bind him hand and foot, and throw him into 3the outerdarkness; in that placethere will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

And they sent their disciples to Him, along with the 7Herodians, saying, "Teacher, we know that You are truthful and teach the way of God in truth, and defer to noone; for You are not partial* to any.

"Tell us then, what do You think? Is it lawful to give a 8poll-tax to 9Caesar, or not?"

But Jesusperceived their malice, and said, "Why are you testing Me, you hypocrites?

"Show Me the 10coin used for the poll-tax." And they brought Him a denarius.

And He said to them, "Whoselikeness and inscription is this?"
