"Then he said to his slaves, 'The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.

'Gotherefore to 1the mainhighways, and as many as you find there, invite to the weddingfeast.'

"Thoseslaveswent out into the streets and gatheredtogetherall they found, bothevil and good; and the weddinghall was filled with dinnerguests.

"But when the kingcame in to lookover the dinnerguests, he saw2a manthere who was not dressed in weddingclothes,

and he said to him, '3Friend, how did you come in herewithout*weddingclothes?' And the man was speechless.

"Then the kingsaid to the servants, 'Bind him hand and foot, and throw him into 4the outerdarkness; in that placethere will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'
157Then the Phariseeswent and plottedtogetherhow they might trap Him in what He said.

And they sent their disciples to Him, along with the 8Herodians, saying, "Teacher, we know that You are truthful and teach the way of God in truth, and defer to noone; for You are not partial* to any.

"Tell us then, what do You think? Is it lawful to give a 9poll-tax to 10Caesar, or not?"

But Jesusperceived their malice, and said, "Why are you testing Me, you hypocrites?
