Matthew 6:6-16

"But you, when you pray, 1go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and 2your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
"And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their 3many words.
"So do not be like them; for 4your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
"5Pray, then, in this way: 'Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.
'6Your kingdom come. 7Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.
'8Give us this day our daily bread.
'And 9forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
'And do not lead us into temptation, but 10deliver us from 11evil. [For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.']
"12For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
"But 13if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.

Fasting; The True Treasure; Wealth (Mammon)

"14Whenever you fast, do not put on a gloomy face as the hypocrites do, for they neglect their appearance so that they will be noticed by men when they are fasting. 15Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.
