Proverbs 17:15-25

He who 1justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous, Both * of them alike are an abomination to the LORD.
Why * is there a price in the hand of a fool to 2buy wisdom, When he has no sense?
A 3friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity.
A man lacking in sense 4pledges * And becomes guarantor in the presence of his neighbor.
He who 5loves transgression loves strife; He who 6raises his door seeks destruction.
He who has a crooked mind 7finds no good, And he who is 8perverted in his language falls into evil.
He who 9sires a fool does so to his sorrow, And the father of a fool has no joy.
A 10joyful heart is good medicine, But a broken spirit 11dries up the bones.
A wicked man receives a 12bribe from the bosom To 13pervert the ways of justice.
Wisdom is in the presence of the one who has understanding, But the 14eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth.
A 15foolish son is a grief to his father And 16bitterness to her who bore him.
