Proverbs 17:19-28

He who 1loves transgression loves strife; He who 2raises his door seeks destruction.
He who has a crooked mind 3finds no good, And he who is 4perverted in his language falls into evil.
He who 5sires a fool does so to his sorrow, And the father of a fool has no joy.
A 6joyful heart is good medicine, But a broken spirit 7dries up the bones.
A wicked man receives a 8bribe from the bosom To 9pervert the ways of justice.
Wisdom is in the presence of the one who has understanding, But the 10eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth.
A 11foolish son is a grief to his father And 12bitterness to her who bore him.
It is also not good to 13fine the righteous, Nor to strike the noble for their uprightness.
He who 14restrains his words has knowledge, And he who has a 15cool spirit is a man of understanding.
Even a fool, when he 16keeps silent, is considered wise; When he closes his lips, he is considered prudent.
