43 You have delivered me from the ¹contentions of the people ; You have placed me as ²head of the nations ; A ³people whom I have not known serve me. 44 As soon as they hear , they obey me; Foreigners ^a⁴submit to me. 45 Foreigners ⁵fade away, And ⁶come trembling out of their ^bfortresses. 46 The LORD ⁷lives, and blessed be ⁸my rock ; And exalted be ⁹the God of my salvation, 47 The God who ¹⁰executes vengeance for me, And ¹¹subdues peoples under me. 48 He ¹²delivers me from my enemies ; Surely You ¹³lift me above those who rise up against me; You rescue me from the ¹⁴violent man. 49 Therefore I will ¹⁵give thanks to You among the nations, O LORD, And I will ¹⁶sing praises to Your name. 50 He gives great ^c¹⁷deliverance to His king, And shows lovingkindness to ¹⁸His anointed, To David and ¹⁹his ^ddescendants forever .
