Numbers 15:22

And if ye have erred
Gone astray from the law of God, and any of its precepts; every sin is an error, a missing of the mark, a wandering from the way of God's commandments. Jarchi, and the Jews in general, interpret this of idolatry, but it rather respects any deviation from the law, moral or ceremonial, especially the latter:

and not observed all these commandments which the Lord hath spoken
unto Moses;
in this chapter, more particularly concerning the meat offerings and drink offerings, and the quantity of them, to be brought along with their burnt offerings and peace offerings, and concerning the cake of the first dough to be heaved before the Lord and given to the priest.

20 De la primera harina molida, presenten un pan y sepárenlo como ofrenda sagrada, como lo hacen con el primer grano del campo de trillar.

21 En todas las generaciones venideras, cada año, presentarán una ofrenda sagrada al Señor
de la primera harina molida.

22 »Pero supongamos que ustedes, sin intención, no llevan a cabo todos estos mandatos que el Señor
les dio por medio de Moisés.

23 Y supongamos que en el futuro sus descendientes no hacen todo lo que el Señor
les ordenó por medio de Moisés.

24 Si el error se cometiera involuntariamente y la comunidad no se diera cuenta de ello, toda la comunidad presentará un becerro como ofrenda quemada, como un aroma agradable al Señor
. Esta ofrenda se ofrecerá juntamente con la ofrenda obligatoria de grano y la ofrenda líquida, y con un chivo como ofrenda por el pecado.
