26 El rey le preguntó a Daniel, a quien los babilonios le habían puesto por nombre Beltsasar:—¿Puedes decirme lo que vi en mi sueño, y darme su interpretación?

Daniel 2:26

The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was
Belteshazzar
The name given him by the prince of the eunuchs, ( Daniel 1:7 ) , and by which he was known to Nebuchadnezzar; and very likely he called him now by this name, which is the reason of its being mentioned: art thou able to make known unto me the dream which I have seen, and
the interpretation thereof?
this he said, either as doubting and questioning, or as admiring that one so young should be able to do that, which his seniors, the wise men in Babylon, could not do; or he put this question, as impatient to hear what he must expect from him, whether the performance of his promise, or such an answer as the wise men had given him.

24 Entonces Daniel fue a ver a Arioc, a quien el rey le había dado la orden de ejecutar a los sabios de Babilonia, y le dijo:—No mates a los sabios babilonios. Llévame ante el rey, y le interpretaré el sueño que tuvo.

25 Inmediatamente Arioc condujo a Daniel a la presencia del rey, y le dijo:—Entre los exiliados de Judá he hallado a alguien que puede interpretar el sueño de Su Majestad.

26 El rey le preguntó a Daniel, a quien los babilonios le habían puesto por nombre Beltsasar:—¿Puedes decirme lo que vi en mi sueño, y darme su interpretación?

27 A esto Daniel respondió:—No hay ningún sabio ni hechicero, ni mago o adivino, que pueda explicarle a Su Majestad el misterio que le preocupa.

28 Pero hay un Dios en el cielo que revela los misterios. Ese Dios le ha mostrado a usted lo que tendrá lugar en los días venideros. Estos son el sueño y las visiones que pasaron por la mente de Su Majestad mientras dormía:
