Luke 21:13

And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
] By this means they would have an opportunity of leaving their testimony for Christ before kings and rulers; and what they should meet with from them, would be a means of strengthening and confirming them in the truths of the Gospel; and be a proof and evidence to them of the certainty of the above things Christ had said should be accomplished; as well as be for a testimony against the rulers and governors, Jews, and Gentiles, before whom they should be convened; see ( Matthew 10:18 ) .

11 Haverá grandes terremotos, fomes e pestes em vários lugares e acontecimentos terríveis e grandes sinais provenientes do céu.

12 “Mas, antes de tudo isso, prenderão e perseguirão vocês. Então eles os entregarão às sinagogas e prisões, e vocês serão levados à presença de reis e governadores, tudo por causa do meu nome.

13 Será para vocês uma oportunidade de dar testemunho.

14 Mas convençam-se de uma vez de que não devem preocupar-se com o que dirão para se defender.

15 Pois eu lhes darei palavras e sabedoria a que nenhum dos seus adversários será capaz de resistir ou contradizer.
