14 But Peter, taking his stand with 3the eleven, raised his voice and declared to them: "Men of Judea and all you who live in Jerusalem, let this be known to you and giveheed to my words.

"For thesemen are not drunk, as you suppose, 4for it is only the thirdhour of the day;

but this is what was spoken of through the prophetJoel:

'5AND IT SHALL BE IN THE LASTDAYS,' Godsays, 'THAT I WILL POURFORTH OF MY SPIRIT ON ALLMANKIND; AND YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY, AND YOUR YOUNGMEN SHALL SEEVISIONS, AND YOUR OLDMEN SHALL DREAMDREAMS;

EVEN ON MY BONDSLAVES, BOTH MEN AND WOMEN, I WILL IN THOSEDAYSPOURFORTH OF MY SPIRIT And they shall prophesy.

'AND I WILL GRANTWONDERS IN THE SKYABOVE AND SIGNS ON THE EARTHBELOW, BLOOD, AND FIRE, AND VAPOR OF SMOKE.

'THE SUN WILL BE TURNED INTO DARKNESS AND THE MOON INTO BLOOD, BEFORE THE GREAT AND GLORIOUSDAY OF THE LORD SHALL COME.

'AND IT SHALL BE THAT 6EVERYONEWHOCALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.'
