When they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, 1they refused to believe it.

After that, 2He appeared in a differentform3to two of them while they were walking along on their way to the country.

They wentaway and reported it to the others, but they 4did not believe them either.
The Disciples Commissioned
14Afterward5He appeared6to the eleventhemselves as they were reclining at the table; and He reproached them for their 7unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believedthose who had seen Him after He had risen.

And He said to them, "8Go into all the world and preach the gospel to allcreation.
16
"9He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.
17
"Thesesigns will accompanythose who have believed: 10in My name they will cast out demons, they will 11speak with newtongues;
18
they will 12pick up serpents, and if they drinkanydeadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will 13layhands on the sick, and they will recover*."

Sothen, when the LordJesus had 14spoken to them, He 15was received up into heaven and 16satdown at the righthand of God.

And they went out and preachedeverywhere, while the Lordworked with them, and confirmed the word by the signs that followed.] [And they promptly reported all these instructions to Peter and his companions. And after that, Jesus Himself sent out through them from east to west the sacred and imperishable proclamation of eternal salvation. ]
