And he departedthence, and enteredinto a certain man's house,namedJustus, one that worshippedGod,whosehouse joined hard* to the synagogue.

AndCrispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue,believed on the Lordwithallhishouse;andmany of the Corinthianshearingbelieved , and were baptized .

Thenspake the Lord to Paulin the nightby a vision,Benotafraid , butspeak , andholdnot thy peace :

ForIamwiththee,and no man shall set onthee to hurtthee:forIhavemuchpeopleinthiscity.

And he continued there a yearandsixmonths,teaching the word of Godamongthem.

And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made insurrection with one accord againstPaul,andbroughthimto the judgment seat,

Saying* , This fellow persuadethmen to worshipGodcontrary to the law.

And when Paul was now about to open his mouth,Galliosaidunto the Jews,If*itwerea matter of wrongorwickedlewdness,O ye Jews,reason*would that I should bear with you:

Butif it be a questionofwordsandnames,andofyourlaw, look ye* to it; forI will be*nojudge of such matters.
