Proverbs 19:15-25

1Slothfulness casts into 2a deep sleep, and 3an idle person will suffer hunger.
Whoever 4keeps the commandment keeps his life; he who despises his ways will die.
5Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the LORD, and he 6will repay him for his 7deed.
8Discipline your son, for there is hope; do not set your heart on 9putting him to death.
A man of great wrath will pay the penalty, for if you deliver him, you will only have to do it again.
Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in 10the future.
11Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but 12it is the purpose of the LORD 13 that will stand.
What is desired in a man is steadfast love, and a poor man is better than a liar.
The fear of the LORD 14leads to life, and whoever has it rests 15satisfied; he will 16not be visited by harm.
17The sluggard buries his hand in 18the dish and will not even bring it back to his mouth.
19Strike 20a scoffer, and the simple will 21learn prudence; 22reprove a man of understanding, and he will gain knowledge.
