Éxodo 28:38-43

38 Aarón lo llevará sobre su frente para cargar sobre sí mismo toda culpabilidad de los israelitas cuando consagran sus ofrendas sagradas. Aarón tendrá que llevarlo siempre sobre su frente para que el Señor
acepte al pueblo.

39 »La túnica con diseños para Aarón, téjela con tela de lino fino. Con el mismo lino, haz también el turbante. Confecciona, además, una faja y adórnala con un bordado colorido.

40 »Para los hijos de Aarón, confecciona túnicas, fajas y gorros especiales que irradien belleza y esplendor.

41 Viste a tu hermano Aarón y a sus hijos con estas vestiduras, y luego úngelos y ordénalos. Conságralos para que puedan servir como mis sacerdotes.

42 Hazles también ropa interior de lino que usen directamente sobre la piel, y les cubra desde la cadera hasta los muslos.

43 Aarón y sus hijos tendrán que llevarla puesta cada vez que entren al tabernáculo
o se acerquen al altar en el Lugar Santo para realizar sus tareas sacerdotales. Así no incurrirán en culpa y no morirán. Esta es una ley perpetua para Aarón y para todos sus descendientes.

INTRODUCTION TO EXODUS 28

This chapter informs us of the servants God would have to minister to him in the house, or tabernacle, he had ordered to be made, even Aaron and his sons, Ex 28:1 of the garments they were to wear in their service, Ex 28:2-5 and first of the garments of the high priest, and particularly of the ephod, with the girdle, on the shoulder pieces of which were to be two onyx stones, with the names of the children of Israel engraved on them, Ex 28:6-14, and that of the breastplate of judgment, with the Urim and Thummum in it, Ex 28:15-30 and of the robe of the ephod, Ex 28:31-35, and of the mitre, Ex 28:36-39 and then of the garments of the common priests, Ex 28:40-43.
