Praise the LORD.a1 Praise, O servants of the LORD,2 praise the name of the LORD.

Let the name of the LORD be praised,3 both now and forevermore.4

From the rising of the sun5 to the place where it sets, the name of the LORD is to be praised.

The LORD is exalted6 over all the nations, his glory above the heavens.7
5
Who is like the LORD our God,8 the One who sits enthroned9 on high,10

who stoops down to look11 on the heavens and the earth?
7
He raises the poor12 from the dust and lifts the needy13 from the ash heap;
8
he seats them14 with princes, with the princes of their people.
9
He settles the barren15 woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the LORD.
