till I find a place1 for the LORD, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob."

"Let us go to his dwelling place;4 let us worship at his footstool5--
arise, O LORD,6 and come to your resting place, you and the ark of your might.
May your priests be clothed with righteousness;7 may your saints8 sing for joy."
For the sake of David your servant, do not reject your anointed one.
The LORD swore an oath to David,9 a sure oath that he will not revoke: "One of your own descendants10 I will place on your throne--
if your sons keep my covenant11 and the statutes I teach them, then their sons will sit on your throne12 for ever and ever."
For the LORD has chosen Zion,13 he has desired it for his dwelling:1414
"This is my resting place for ever and ever;15 here I will sit enthroned,16 for I have desired it--
I will bless her with abundant provisions; her poor will I satisfy with food.17
