May God arise,1 may his enemies be scattered;2 may his foes flee3 before him.

As smoke4 is blown away by the wind, may you blow them away; as wax melts5 before the fire, may the wicked perish6 before God.

But may the righteous be glad and rejoice7 before God; may they be happy and joyful.

Sing to God, sing praise to his name,8 extol him who rides on the cloudsa9-- his name is the LORD10-- and rejoice before him.

A father to the fatherless,11 a defender of widows,12 is God in his holy dwelling.136
