The third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water,1 and they became blood.2

Then I heard the angel in charge of the waters say: "You are just in these judgments,3 you who are and who were,4 the Holy One,5 because you have so judged;6

for they have shed the blood of your saints and prophets,7 and you have given them blood to drink8 as they deserve."

And I heard the altar9 respond: "Yes, Lord God Almighty,10 true and just are your judgments."11
