Leviticus 25:19

19 The land will yield its fruit, and you will eat your fill, and dwell in it securely.

Leviticus 25:19 Meaning and Commentary

Leviticus 25:19

And the land shall yield her fruit
That is, continually, and even in the seventh year, the sabbath of rest; for the land, though not manured, ploughed, and sowed, nor the vines, olives, and fig trees pruned, yet shall yield fruit as in other years, the Israelites observing the statutes and judgments of God: and ye shall eat your fill;
feel no want of provisions, but have fulness of everything as at other times, and never make a scanty meal, having sufficiency and plenty of all things: and dwell therein in safety;
not fearing enemies, nor being disturbed by them, nor carried captive.

Leviticus 25:19 In-Context

17 You shall not wrong one another, but you shall fear your God; for I am the LORD your God.
18 "Therefore you shall do my statutes, and keep my ordinances and perform them; so you will dwell in the land securely.
19 The land will yield its fruit, and you will eat your fill, and dwell in it securely.
20 And if you say, 'What shall we eat in the seventh year, if we may not sow or gather in our crop?'
21 I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, so that it will bring forth fruit for three years.
