For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised.
] This is a repetition of the argument in ( 1 Corinthians 15:13 ) made partly to show the importance of it, and partly to observe other absurdities, following upon the conclusion of it.

14 and if Christ be not risen, then our preaching is vain, and your faith is also vain.

15 Yea, and we are found to be false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He didnot raise up, if so it be that the dead rise not.

16 For if the dead rise not, then is Christ not raised;

17 and if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

18 Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.
