In the past God spoke1 to our ancestors through the prophets2 at many times and in various ways,32
but in these last days4 he has spoken to us by his Son,5 whom he appointed heir6 of all things, and through whom7 also he made the universe.83
The Son is the radiance of God's glory9 and the exact representation of his being,10 sustaining all things11 by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins,12 he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.134
So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.14

For to which of the angels did God ever say, "You are my Son; today I have become your Father"a ?15 Or again, "I will be his Father, and he will be my Son"b ?166
And again, when God brings his firstborn17 into the world,18 he says, "Let all God's angels worship him."c19
