"Come, all you who are thirsty,1 come to the waters;2 and you who have no money, come, buy3 and eat! Come, buy wine and milk4 without money and without cost.52
Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy?6 Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,7 and you will delight in the richest8 of fare.
Give ear and come to me; listen,9 that you may live.10 I will make an everlasting covenant11 with you, my faithful love12 promised to David.134
See, I have made him a witness14 to the peoples, a ruler and commander15 of the peoples.
Surely you will summon nations16 you know not, and nations you do not know will come running to you,17 because of the LORD your God, the Holy One18 of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor."196
Seek20 the LORD while he may be found;21 call22 on him while he is near.
Let the wicked forsake23 their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts.24 Let them turn25 to the LORD, and he will have mercy26 on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.278
"For my thoughts28 are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,"29 declares the LORD.
"As the heavens are higher than the earth,30 so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.3110
As the rain32 and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish,33 so that it yields seed34 for the sower and bread for the eater,3511
so is my word36 that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty,37 but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose38 for which I sent it.
You will go out in joy39 and be led forth in peace;40 the mountains and hills will burst into song41 before you, and all the trees42 of the field will clap their hands.4313
Instead of the thornbush will grow the juniper, and instead of briers44 the myrtle45 will grow. This will be for the LORD's renown,46 for an everlasting sign, that will endure forever."
