Do good1 to your servant according to your word,2 LORD.
Teach me knowledge3 and good judgment, for I trust your commands.
Before I was afflicted4 I went astray,5 but now I obey your word.668
You are good,7 and what you do is good; teach me your decrees.869
Though the arrogant have smeared me with lies,9 I keep your precepts with all my heart.
Their hearts are callous10 and unfeeling, but I delight in your law.
It was good for me to be afflicted11 so that I might learn your decrees.
The law from your mouth is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver and gold.12
