but 1the one who denies me before men 2will be denied 3before the angels of God.
10
And 4everyone who speaks a word 5against the Son of Man 6will be forgiven, but the one who 7blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
11
8And when they 9bring you before the synagogues and 10the rulers and 11the authorities, 12do not be anxious about how you should defend yourself or what you should say,
12
13for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say."
The Parable of the Rich Fool
1314Someone in the crowd said to him, "Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me."
14
But he said to him, 15"Man, 16who made me a judge or arbitrator over you?"
15
And he said to them, 17"Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."
16
And he told them a parable, saying, 18"The land of a rich man produced plentifully,
17
and he thought to himself, 19'What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?'
18
And he said, 'I will do this: I will tear down my 20barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.
19
And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have ample goods laid up 21for many years; relax, 22eat, drink, be merry.'
