2 Crónicas 11:1-9

1 Y COMO vino Roboam á Jerusalem, juntó la casa de Judá y de Benjamín, ciento y ochenta mil hombres escogidos de guerra, para pelear contra Israel y volver el reino á Roboam.
2 Mas fué palabra de Jehová á Semeías varón de Dios, diciendo:
3 Habla á Roboam hijo de Salomón, rey de Judá, y á todos los Israelitas en Judá y Benjamín, diciéndoles:
4 Así ha dicho Jehová: No subáis ni peleéis contra vuestros hermanos; vuélvase casa uno á su casa, porque yo he hecho este negocio. Y ellos oyeron la palabra de Jehová, y tornáronse, y no fueron contra Jeroboam.
5 Y habitó Roboam en Jerusalem, y edificó ciudades para fortificar á Judá.
6 Y edificó á Beth-lehem, y á Etham, y á Tecoa,
7 Y á Beth-sur, y á Sochô, y á Adullam,
8 Y á Gath, y á Maresa, y á Ziph,
9 Y á Adoraim, y á Lachîs, y á Acechâ,

In this chapter are related the preparations Rehoboam made to regain the ten tribes that revolted from him, but was forbid making the attempt by a prophet of the Lord, which he paid a regard unto, 2Ch 11:1-4, the fortification of several cities in Judah and Benjamin for his defence, 2Ch 11:5-12, the resort of several priests and Levites to him from Jeroboam, which served to strengthen his kingdom, 2Ch 11:13-17, and an account of his wives, and of his children, and of his disposal of them, 2Ch 11:18-23.
