in beatings, imprisonments1 and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger;2

in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit3 and in sincere love;4

in truthful speech5 and in the power of God;6 with weapons of righteousness7 in the right hand and in the left;

through glory and dishonor,8 bad report9 and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors;10

known, yet regarded as unknown; dying,11 and yet we live on;12 beaten, and yet not killed;

sorrowful, yet always rejoicing;13 poor, yet making many rich;14 having nothing,15 and yet possessing everything.16

We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians, and opened wide our hearts to you.17

We are not withholding our affection from you, but you are withholding yours from us.

As a fair exchange--I speak as to my children18--open wide your hearts19 also.
Do Not Be Yoked With Unbelievers
14 Do not be yoked together20 with unbelievers.21 For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common?
