In that day1 the deaf2 will hear the words of the scroll, and out of gloom and darkness3 the eyes of the blind will see.419
Once more the humble5 will rejoice in the LORD; the needy6 will rejoice in the Holy One7 of Israel.
The ruthless8 will vanish,9 the mockers10 will disappear, and all who have an eye for evil11 will be cut down--
those who with a word make a man out to be guilty, who ensnare the defender in court12 and with false testimony13 deprive the innocent of justice.1422
Therefore this is what the LORD, who redeemed15 Abraham,16 says to the house of Jacob: "No longer will Jacob be ashamed;17 no longer will their faces grow pale.1823
When they see among them their children,19 the work of my hands,20 they will keep my name holy;21 they will acknowledge the holiness of the Holy One22 of Jacob, and will stand in awe of the God of Israel.
Those who are wayward23 in spirit will gain understanding;24 those who complain will accept instruction."25
