2 Above him were seraphs,1 each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet,2 and with two they were flying. 3 And they were calling to one another: "Holy, holy3, holy is the LORD Almighty;4 the whole earth5 is full of his glory."6 4 At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.7 5 "Woe8 to me!" I cried. "I am ruined!9 For I am a man of unclean lips,1011 and I live among a people of unclean lips,12 and my eyes have seen13 the King,14 the LORD Almighty."15 6 Then one of the seraphs flew to me with a live coal16 in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar.
