Psalm 104:10-30 (New International Version)

View In My Bible
10 He makes springs1 pour water into the ravines; it flows between the mountains. 11 They give water2 to all the beasts of the field; the wild donkeys3 quench their thirst. 12 The birds of the air4 nest by the waters; they sing among the branches.5 13 He waters the mountains6 from his upper chambers;7 the earth is satisfied by the fruit of his work.8 14 He makes grass grow9 for the cattle, and plants for man to cultivate-- bringing forth food10 from the earth: 15 wine11 that gladdens the heart of man, oil12 to make his face shine, and bread that sustains13 his heart. 16 The trees of the LORD14 are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon15 that he planted. 17 There the birds16 make their nests; the stork has its home in the pine trees. 18 The high mountains belong to the wild goats;17 the crags are a refuge for the coneys.a18 19 The moon marks off the seasons,19 and the sun20 knows when to go down. 20 You bring darkness,21 it becomes night,22 and all the beasts of the forest23 prowl. 21 The lions roar for their prey24 and seek their food from God.25 22 The sun rises, and they steal away; they return and lie down in their dens.26 23 Then man goes out to his work,27 to his labor until evening.28 24 How many are your works,29 O LORD! In wisdom you made30 them all; the earth is full of your creatures.31 25 There is the sea,32 vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number-- living things both large and small.33 26 There the ships34 go to and fro, and the leviathan,35 which you formed to frolic36 there.37 27 These all look to you to give them their food38 at the proper time. 28 When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are satisfied39 with good things. 29 When you hide your face,40 they are terrified; when you take away their breath, they die and return to the dust.41 30 When you send your Spirit,42 they are created, and you renew the face of the earth.
