Cleanse1 me with hyssop,2 and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.3
8
Let me hear joy and gladness;4 let the bones5 you have crushed rejoice.
9
Hide your face from my sins6 and blot out7 all my iniquity.
10
Create in me a pure heart,8 O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.9
11
Do not cast me10 from your presence11 or take your Holy Spirit12 from me.
12
Restore to me the joy of your salvation13 and grant me a willing spirit,14 to sustain me.15
13
Then I will teach transgressors your ways,16 and sinners17 will turn back to you.18

Save me19 from bloodguilt,20 O God, the God who saves me,21 and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.22
15
O Lord, open my lips,23 and my mouth will declare your praise.
