1 Suǒluómén qídǎo yǐ bì , jiù yǒu huǒ cóng tiān shang jiàng xià lái , shāo jǐn Fánjì hé biéde jì . Yēhéhuá de róngguāng chōngmǎn le diàn .

2 Yīn Yēhéhuá de róngguāng chōngmǎn le Yēhéhuá diàn , suǒyǐ jìsī bùnéng jìn diàn .

3 Nà huǒ jiàng xià , Yēhéhuá de róngguāng zaì diàn shàng de shíhou , Yǐsèliè zhòngrén kànjian , jiù zaì pū shí dì fǔfú kòu baì , chēngxiè Yēhéhuá shuō , Yēhéhuá bĕn wéi shàn , tāde cíaì yǒngyuǎn chángcún .

4 Wáng hé zhòng mín zaì Yēhéhuá miànqián xiànjì .

5 Suǒluómén wáng yòng niú èr wàn èr qiā , yáng shí èr wàn xiànjì . zhèyàng , wáng hé zhòng mín wèi shén de diàn xíng fèng xiàn zhī lǐ .

6 Jìsī shì lì , gè gōng qí zhí . Lìwèi rén yĕ ná zhe Yēhéhuá de yuè qì , jiù shì Dàwèi wáng zào chūlai , jiè Lìwèi rén sòngzàn Yēhéhuá de . ( tāde cíaì yǒngyuǎn chángcún . ) jìsī zaì zhòngrén miànqián chuīhào , Yǐsèliè rén dōu zhàn lì .

7 Suǒluómén yīn tā suǒ zào de tóng tán róng bú xià Fánjì , sù jì , hé zhīyóu , biàn jiāng Yēhéhuá diàn qián yuànzi dāngzhōng fēnbié wèi shèng , zaì nàli xiàn Fánjì hépíng ān jì shēng de zhīyóu .

8 Nàshí Suǒluómén hé Yǐsèliè zhòngrén , jiù shì cóng Hāmǎkǒu zhídào Āijí xiǎo hé , suǒyǒude Yǐsèliè rén dōu jùjí chéngwéi dà huì , shǒu jié qī rì .

9 Dì bā rì shèlì yán sù huì , xíng fèng xiàn tán de lǐ qī rì , shǒu jié qī rì .

10 Qī yuè èr shí sān rì , wáng qiǎn sàn zhòng mín . tāmen yīn jiàn Yēhéhuá xiàng Dàwèi hé Suǒluómén yǔ tā mín Yǐsèliè suǒ shī de ēnhuì , jiù dōu xīn zhōng xǐlè , gè guī gè jiā qù le .

11 Suǒluómén zàochéng le Yēhéhuá diàn hé wánggōng . zaì Yēhéhuá diàn hé wánggōng fán tā xīn zhōng suǒ yào zuò de , dōu shùn shùnlì lì dì zuò chéng le .

12 Yè jiān Yēhéhuá xiàng Suǒluómén xiǎnxiàn , duì tā shuō , wǒ yǐ tīng le nǐde dǎogào , yĕ xuǎnzé zhè dìfang zuòwéi jìsì wǒde diàn yǔ .

13 Wǒ ruò shǐ tiān bì sāi bú xiàyǔ , huò shǐ huángchóng chī zhè dì de chūchǎn , huò shǐ wēnyì liú xíng zaì wǒ mín zhōng ,

14 Zhè chēngwèi wǒ míng xià de zǐmín , ruò shì zìbēi , dǎogào , xúnqiú wǒde miàn , zhuǎn lí tāmende è xíng , wǒ bì cóng tiān shàng chuí tīng , shèmiǎn tāmende zuì , yīzhì tāmende dì .

15 Wǒ bì zhēng yǎn kàn , cè ĕr tīng zaì cǐ chù suǒ xiàn de dǎogào .

16 Xiànzaì wǒ yǐ xuǎnzé zhè diàn , fēnbié wèi shèng , shǐ wǒde míng yǒng zaì qízhōng , wǒde yǎn , wǒde xīn yĕ bì cháng zaì nàli .

17 Nǐ ruò zaì wǒ miànqián xiàofǎ nǐ fù Dàwèi suǒ xíng de , zūnxíng wǒ yīqiè suǒ fēnfu nǐde , jǐn shǒu wǒde lǜ lì diǎnzhāng ,

18 Wǒ jiù bìjiāngù nǐde guó wèi , zhēng rú wǒ yǔ nǐ fù Dàwèi suǒ lì de yuē , shuō , nǐde zǐsūn bì bú duàn rén zuò Yǐsèliè de wáng .

19 Tǎngruò nǐmen zhuǎn qù diūqì wǒ zhǐshì nǐmen de lǜ lì jièmìng , qù shìfèng jìngbaì bié shén ,

20 Wǒ jiù bìjiāng Yǐsèliè rén cóng wǒ cìgĕi tāmende dì shang bá chū gēn lái , bìngqiĕ wǒ wèi jǐ míng suǒ fēnbié wèi shèng de diàn yĕ bì shĕ qì bù gù , shǐ tā zaì wàn mín zhōng zuò xiào tán , beì jīqiào .

21 Zhè diàn suīrán shén gāo , jiānglái jīngguò de rén bì jīngyà shuō , Yēhéhuá wèihé xiàng zhè dì hé zhè diàn rúcǐ xíng ne .

22 Rén bì huídá shuō , shì yīncǐ dì de rén lí qì Yēhéhuá tāmen lièzǔ de shén , jiù shì lǐng tāmen chū Āijí dì de shén , qù qīnjìn bié shén , jìngbaì shìfèng tā , suǒyǐ Yēhéhuá shǐ zhè yīqiè zāihuò líndào tāmen .

Chapter 7

God's answer to Solomon's prayer.

- God gave a gracious answer to Solomon's prayer. The mercies of God to sinners are made known in a manner well suited to impress all who receive them, with his majesty and holiness. The people worshipped and praised God. When he manifests himself as a consuming Fire to sinners, his people can rejoice in him as their Light. Nay, they had reason to say, that God was good in this. It is of the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, but the sacrifice in our stead, for which we should be very thankful. And whoever beholds with true faith, the Saviour agonizing and dying for man's sin, will, by that view, find his godly sorrow enlarged, his hatred of sin increased, his soul made more watchful, and his life more holy. Solomon prosperously effected all he designed, for adorning both God's house and his own. Those who begin with the service of God, are likely to go on successfully in their own affairs. It was Solomon's praise, that what he undertook, he went through with; it was by the grace of God that he prospered in it. Let us then stand in awe, and sin not. Let us fear the Lord's displeasure, hope in his mercy, and walk in his commandments.
