1 ( Dàwèi de shī , jiāo yǔ líng zhǎng ) wǒ céng naì xìng dĕnghòu Yēhéhuá . tā chuí tīng wǒde hū qiú .

Psalms 40:1

I waited patiently for the Lord
Or "waiting I waited" {i}; which denotes continuance, constancy, and patience; and which Christ exercised in the garden, when he submitted himself entirely to the will of God; and on the cross, when he continued in sure hope and firm expectation of his help and assistance, though he was for a while forsaken by him; see ( Isaiah 50:7-9 ) ;

and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry;
both in the garden, by delivering him from fear of death; and on the cross, by upholding, helping, and assisting him, by carrying him through his sufferings and death, and raising him from the dead; see ( Isaiah 49:8 ) ( Hebrews 5:7 ) .

2 Tā cóng huò kēng lǐ , cóng yū ní zhōng , bǎ wǒ lā shang lái , shǐ wǒde jiǎo lì zaì pánshí shang , shǐ wǒ jiǎobù wĕn dāng .

3 Tā shǐ wǒ kǒu chàng xīn gē , jiù shì zànmĕi wǒmen shén de huà . xǔduō rén bì kànjian ér jùpà , bìng yào yǐkào Yēhéhuá .

4 Nà yǐkào Yēhéhuá , bú lǐ huì kuángào hé piān xiàng xūjiǎ zhī beì de , zhè rén biàn wèi yǒu fú .

5 Yēhéhuá wǒde shén a , nǐ suǒ xíng de qí shì , bìng nǐ xiàng wǒmen suǒ huái de yìniàn shén duō , bùnéng xiàng nǐ chén míng . ruò yào chén míng , qí shì bùkĕ shēng shǔ.
