Matthew 6:4-14

so that your giving may be in secret. 1And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

The Lord's Prayer

"And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love 2to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. 3Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.
But when you pray, 4go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. 5And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
"And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as 6the Gentiles do, for 7they think that they will be heard 8for their many words.
Do not be like them, 9for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
10Pray then like this: 11"Our Father in heaven, 12hallowed be 13your name.[a]
14Your kingdom come, 15your will be done,[b] 16on earth as it is in heaven.
17Give us 18this day our daily bread,[c]
and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And 19lead us not into temptation, but 20deliver us from 21evil.[d]
22For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you,
