1 Samuel 12:25

25 But if you continue to sin, you and your king will be destroyed."

1 Samuel 12:25 Meaning and Commentary

1 Samuel 12:25

But if ye shall still do wickedly
Continue to rebel against God, revolt from him, and depart from his worship, and despise his prophets, and serve idols:

ye shall be consumed, both ye and your king;
their king would be so far from protecting, that he should perish with them, be killed by the sword, as Saul their first king was, or go into captivity, as others of their kings did.

1 Samuel 12:25 In-Context

23 As for me, the Lord forbid that I should sin against him by no longer praying for you. Instead, I will teach you what is good and right for you to do.
24 Obey the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. Remember the great things he has done for you.
25 But if you continue to sin, you and your king will be destroyed."
