Hosea 13:11-16 (New International Version)

View In My Bible
11 So in my anger I gave you a king,1 and in my wrath I took him away.2 12 The guilt of Ephraim is stored up, his sins are kept on record.3 13 Pains as of a woman in childbirth4 come to him, but he is a child without wisdom; when the time5 arrives, he does not come to the opening of the womb.6 14 "I will ransom them from the power of the gravea;7 I will redeem them from death.8 Where, O death, are your plagues? Where, O grave,b is your destruction?9 "I will have no compassion, 15 even though he thrives10 among his brothers. An east wind11 from the LORD will come, blowing in from the desert; his spring will fail and his well dry up.12 His storehouse will be plundered13 of all its treasures. 16 The people of Samaria14 must bear their guilt,15 because they have rebelled16 against their God. They will fall by the sword;17 their little ones will be dashed18 to the ground, their pregnant women19 ripped open."
