Because that he had been oftenbound with fettersandchains,and the chains had been plucked asunderbyhim,and the fetters broken in pieces: neithercould any man tamehim*.

AndforthwithJesusgavethemleave. And the uncleanspirits went out, and enteredinto the swine:and the herdran violently down a steep placeinto the sea*, (they wereabout two thousand;) and were chokedin the sea.

And they cometoJesus,andsee him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion,sitting, andclothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

And they laughedhim to scorn. But when he had put them allout, he taketh the fatherand the mother of the damsel,and them that were withhim,and entereth inwhere the damselwaslying.
