Isaiah 45:19-25 (New International Version)

View In My Bible
19 I have not spoken in secret,1 from somewhere in a land of darkness;2 I have not said to Jacob's descendants,3 'Seek4 me in vain.' I, the LORD, speak the truth; I declare what is right.5 20 "Gather together6 and come; assemble, you fugitives from the nations. Ignorant7 are those who carry8 about idols of wood, who pray to gods that cannot save.9 21 Declare what is to be, present it-- let them take counsel together. Who foretold10 this long ago, who declared it from the distant past?11 Was it not I, the LORD? And there is no God apart from me,12 a righteous God13 and a Savior;14 there is none but me. 22 "Turn15 to me and be saved,16 all you ends of the earth;17 for I am God, and there is no other.18 23 By myself I have sworn,19 my mouth has uttered in all integrity20 a word that will not be revoked:21 Before me every knee will bow;22 by me every tongue will swear.23 24 They will say of me, 'In the LORD alone are righteousness24 and strength.25' " All who have raged against him will come to him and be put to shame.26 25 But in the LORD all the descendants27 of Israel will be found righteous28 and will exult.29
