My own hand laid the foundations of the earth,5 and my right hand spread out the heavens;6 when I summon them, they all stand up together.714
"Come together,8 all of you, and listen: Which of [the idols] has foretold9 these things? The LORD's chosen ally10 will carry out his purpose11 against Babylon;12 his arm will be against the Babylonians.a15

If only you had paid attention26 to my commands, your peace27 would have been like a river,28 your righteousness29 like the waves of the sea.
Your descendants30 would have been like the sand,31 your children like its numberless grains;32 their name would never be cut off33 nor destroyed from before me."
Leave Babylon, flee34 from the Babylonians! Announce this with shouts of joy35 and proclaim it. Send it out to the ends of the earth;36 say, "The LORD has redeemed37 his servant Jacob."
