"Lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble1 and come to you; your sons come from afar,2 and your daughters3 are carried on the arm.45
Then you will look and be radiant,5 your heart will throb and swell with joy;6 the wealth7 on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come.
Herds of camels8 will cover your land, young camels of Midian9 and Ephah.10 And all from Sheba11 will come, bearing gold and incense12 and proclaiming the praise13 of the LORD.
All Kedar's14 flocks will be gathered to you, the rams of Nebaioth will serve you; they will be accepted as offerings15 on my altar,16 and I will adorn my glorious temple.178
"Who are these18 that fly along like clouds,19 like doves to their nests?
Surely the islands20 look to me; in the lead are the ships of Tarshish,a21 bringing22 your sons from afar, with their silver and gold,23 to the honor24 of the LORD your God, the Holy One25 of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor.2610
"Foreigners27 will rebuild your walls, and their kings28 will serve you. Though in anger I struck you, in favor29 I will show you compassion.3011
Your gates31 will always stand open, they will never be shut, day or night, so that men may bring you the wealth of the nations32-- their kings33 led in triumphal procession.
For the nation or kingdom that will not serve34 you will perish; it will be utterly ruined.3513
"The glory of Lebanon36 will come to you, the pine, the fir and the cypress together,37 to adorn the place of my sanctuary;38 and I will glorify the place of my feet.3914
The sons of your oppressors40 will come bowing before you; all who despise you will bow down41 at your feet and will call you the City42 of the LORD, Zion43 of the Holy One44 of Israel.
